Orphan-Lympics is an annual event organized by Taipei Orphan Welfare Foundation for all the orphanages in Taiwan. This is the eleventh year and it has become an international event. This year, there are 34 orphanages in Taiwan, 7 district teams from TOWF, 6 international orphanage teams attending this event. There are over 1,600 people from these teams and 300 volunteers. It is an honor to have oversea orphanages from Cambodia, Nepal, India, and Philippines to join us. This is a good opportunity for the domestic and international orphanages to communicate and exchange ideas.

The opening ceremony started with an unicycle performance by Hualien Faith Hope Love Academy, followed by a energetic exercise led by a TV celebrity Will Liu, and then races began on the tracks. TOWF had invited Rainbow Heaven Organization to plan the closing ceremony jointly. The closing ceremony started with aboriginal and modern dances by Christian Mountain Children’s Home and African drums performance by Honghua Orphanage. The four international orphanages, including : One 2 one Charitable Trust from Cambodia; New Hope for Orphan from Cambodia; Institute for Foundational Learning Inc. from Philippines, Victim Support and Rehabilitation Program from Nepal, also brought their aboriginal dances that lightened the event with an exotic infusion.
